Volunteers to encourage young patients at Abu Dhabi hospital to read

ABU DHABI // Young patients at Al Mafraq Hospital will have more guides encouraging them to read and learn during their hospitalisation, under a new initiative to send employees from twofour54 to volunteer.

This volunteer initiative comes as part of twofour54’s community intiative #United4UAE and the hospital’s “Wanna Read?” programme, which was established by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan Al Nahyan in 2013.

“It is wonderful to return to the first “Wanna Read?” room ... I am truly happy the room has given so much joy to many young patients,” said Sheikha Shamma, “with the capable hands of twofour54 at the helm, we are sure the initiative will go from strength to strength, bringing our vision of ‘healing through reading’ to many more young patients.”
