An accident in Abu Dhabi created congestion on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street with traffic building up early on Sunday.
Tailbacks were reported in the Al Nahyan area of 8th Street, to Abu Dhabi Men’s College, through to 12th Street in Sector E.
Congestion in the capital also clogged roads on Sweihan Road after Sweihan bridge, and near Zayed the First Street in the Al Zahiyah area
Heavy traffic slowed early commuters in Dubai Silicon Oasis, International City, Barsha and on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Dubai.
Bottlenecks delayed commuters in Sharjah in the Industrial Areas 12 and 15, near the National Paints Factory and Maliha Kalba road.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
