Six deaths on Abu Dhabi roads during last 10 days of Ramadan and Eid



ABU DHABI // There were 51 serious road accidents resulting in six deaths during the last 10 days of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday, Abu Dhabi Police said, down from 55 accidents and 8 fatalities in the same period last year.

Director of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, said exceeding speed limits and drivers’ lack of attention remain the number one causes of serious road accidents.

He warned that Abu Dhabi Police will not be lenient with those who violate traffic rules, reported Wam the state news agency.
