Nearly 200 people were killed on the roads of Dubai last year. There were 177 fatalities, 204 serious injuries, 764 moderate injuries and 1,350 minor injuries.
Col Saif Al Mazrouei, the director of traffic police, said that 2,982,700 traffic fines were recorded last year, with 1,216,824 issued for speeding.
