The revealing of the Quran is a blessing in itself, for the benefits and guidance it has offered mankind.
Friday’s sermon reminds worshippers that the Quran enlightens closed minds and erases ignorance.
“Lo! this Quran guideth unto that which is straightest, and giveth tidings unto the believers who do good works that theirs will be a great reward,” says a Quranic verse.
It is also a guidebook for life matters and building civilisations. It calls for noble traits and principles to establish tranquillity and happiness.
The sermon quotes from the Quran: “We have not revealed unto thee [Mohammed] this Quran that thou shouldst be distressed, but as a reminder unto him who feareth.”
Reciting the Quran and following its teachings is a win-win. “Lo! those who read the Scripture of Allah, and establish worship, and spend of that which We have bestowed on them secretly and openly, they look forward to imperishable gain, that He will pay them their wages and increase them of His grace. Lo! He is Forgiving, Responsive,” say two other verses.
“Allah has ordered us to reflect on His book and its meanings with open hearts and minds,” the sermon continues.
We have also been told to recite it correctly and constantly.
As a scholar once said, one should reflect back on his actions, if they were in accordance with the Quran’s teachings, he should thank Allah and ask for more of this blessing, and if his actions contradicted its teachings, he should blame himself and revert soon.

How to avoid crypto fraud

- Avoid suspicious social media ads promoting fraudulent schemes.
- Only invest in crypto projects that you fully understand.
- Critically assess whether a project’s promises or returns seem too good to be true.
- Only use reputable platforms that have a track record of strong regulatory compliance.
- Store funds in hardware wallets as opposed to online exchanges.
