Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has appointed a new undersecretary for Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy.
Mohammad Juma Rashid Bin Jarsh Al Falasi will take on the role, having been a board member of Abu Dhabi Ports Company since at least 2013.
Abu Dhabi Ports was established in 2006 as a master developer of ports and industrial zones in the capital.
Some of its major achievements to date include the opening of Khalifa Port in September 2012, and the development of Kizad (Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi).
The company continues to play a vital role in propelling economic growth in the UAE, as the country seeks to diversify its economy by boosting industry and relying less on revenue from hydrocarbons.
