The Executive Committee has given the green light for the Al-Ruwais Concept Masterplan, in the Western Region, the state news agency Wam said. The expansion project is expected to take 20 years.
The Committee also agreed to the redesign of bus shelters in Abu Dhabi to help traffic flow.
