FUJAIRAH // A new mosque will be built in Fujairah by a charity organisation, at a cost of Dh3.25 million.
The mosque will be located in Seiji area and is being built by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, reported Wam, the state news agency, on Sunday.
The group signed the main contract for the construction work on the house of worship, which is expected to take 16 months, said Ibrahim bu Melha, the Dubai Ruler’s adviser for humanitarian and cultural affairs, and the deputy chairman of the establishment’s board of trustees.
The 625-square-metre mosque will accommodate 562 worshippers, and include a prayer room for 78 female worshippers as well as other services and facilities.
