Man accused of threatening to kill guard, Dubai court hears

Prosecutors said the Pakistani driver was part of a gang that attacked the guard at a contracting company, tied him up and threatened to cut him up into little pieces if he resisted or reported them.

DUBAI // A driver has appeared before the Dubai Criminal Court accused of threatening to kill a security guard if he reported him to police for stealing Dh12,000 worth of electric cables.

Prosecutors said that Pakistani N K, 27, was part of a gang that on May 21 last year attacked the guard at a contracting company, tied him up and threatened to kill him and cut his body into little pieces if he resisted or reported them.

Police were notified of the incident the next morning. Investigations lead to the defendant who after being arrested said he was paid by S N, also Pakistani, to take part in the crime.

Records showed that S N is in jail for a similar case.

N K was not in court to enter a plea. The next hearing will be on January 25.
