ABU DHABI // The Cabinet has gathered to review its work last year, in a meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Prime Minister.
On his Twitter account, Sheikh Mohammed, also Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, revealed more than 500 decisions had been made in 2012.
“An annual performance evaluation is very important,” he tweeted. “As it improves our vision, increases efficiency, fixes our mistakes and incentivises us.”
After the session, Sheikh Mohammed said that the work of the council of ministers under Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, had been “outstanding”.
“[The Cabinet] has become a major pillar of the government’s decision-making process and we renew our confidence in them,” he said.
During the meeting, the Cabinet approved a bill on security arrangements at facilities and sporting events, which ensures that international standards are followed.
A project to establish a company to operate and maintain the federal rail network was also approved.
