Sheikh Mohammed's 'My Story' now available in English

Publication charts 50 years of service to the UAE

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was at the centre of efforts to build the country up following unification in 1971. 

The Ruler of Dubai's memoir which charts his journey from young royal to Prime Minister of the UAE is now available in English.

My Story: 50 Memories from 50 Years of Service reflects on key events in Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's life such as the unification of the country in 1971, negotiating with hijackers in 1973 and how Dubai embraced tourism to become the city it is today.

His book also gives a unique behind the scenes look at political life here, such as when he revealed Saddam Hussein was offered asylum in the UAE before the 2003 invasion of his country by the United States. The offer was turned down.

My Story is published by Explorer Publishing, costs Dh89 and can be bought online and at bookshops across the country.
