The introduction of new visa fees aims to standardise service fees in the general departments of residence and foreign affairs, said Brig Gen Rashid Sultan Al Khoder, spokesperson of the Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs.
He said that law 377 of 2014 includes new series of visas and entry permits.
“There are new visas, such as the multiple-entry permit for business purposes, the entry permit to attend a conference or exhibition, and an entry permit for medical treatment,” Brig Gen Al Khoder said.
The change in the system of visas and their fees were implemented on August 1.
The Ministry of Interior said that the new laws are outlined on its website (in Arabic).
