RAS AL KHAIMAH // Four European tourists who had lost their way up a mountain had to be rescued by police.
One of the tourists put a call in to Ras Al Khaimah Police saying that they could not find the way back to their car.
An ambulance and rescue team, as well as the air rescue team, were dispatched immediately to the area. After a 15-minute search, the tourists were located and taken to safety.
The chief of the RAK Police air wing section, Lieutenant Colonel pilot Saeed Rashid Al Yammahi, said the ruggedness of the area meant that the ambulance and rescue team found it difficult to locate the group without air support.
