ABU DHABI // A member of the FNC has called on the Minister of Education to ensure national curriculums were not affected by Cabinet reshuffles.

Rashad Bukhash, from Dubai, sent a question to the minister, Hussain Al Hammadi, asking why the ministry did not draw up an education plan every 10 years and stick to it.

Mr Bukhash said school staff had complained to him that every time a new education minister was appointed, the entire system was changed.

“We’ve noticed that always when there is new minister they cancel the old and start something new,” he said.

A written response from Mr Al Hammadi refuted this. He said there was already a 10-year plan that was regularly revised.

Mr Bukhash told the council that he hoped that this was the case and that the minister continued to follow the plan.
