ABU DHABI // A cross-dresser posted photos of himself on Instagram and offered sexual services to other men, the Criminal Court heard on Wednesday.

Police received a report that the 21-year-old Lebenase man had posed in women’s clothes on the social media app.

An undercover police officer posed as a customer and set an appointment with the man, who was then arrested in a sting operation and charged with practising and soliciting for homosexual sex.

The court heard the defendant wore “short, provocative women’s clothes, wigs and make-up on his face”. He also posted his mobile number online.

MK denied the charges in court.

Although he confessed the photos were of him, he said they were never intended for publication and his friends had posted them and his phone number.

The case was adjourned until October 26 when a verdict will be announced.
