DUBAI // A 22-year-old Australian tourist who was caught with 10 lollipops containing cannabis will spend four years in jail.
At Dubai Criminal Court in August, the defendant pleaded not guilty when faced with a charge of possessing drugs for personal use.
On June 20, he was arrested at Dubai International Airport after inspectors found out that the lollipops, which were wrapped in plastic, contained 178.6 grams of cannabis.
The man will be deported after serving his jail term.
