ABU DHABI // A pioneering arts workshop yesterday helped people to discover their creative side while easing their tension and stress.
The Salwa Zeidan Gallery, off Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street in the capital, hosts the Art and Therapy sessions, which run until Wednesday and are open to all.
Those taking part came from all walks of life and, through encouragement and advice, were taught how to express themselves by painting.
"By using the power of art we can reconnect with that need and that helps us to remove the negativity that leads to tension, anxiety or stress," said Leila al Husseini, a licensed psychoanalyst who developed the course.
