      Hussein Ibish is a geopolitical analyst and an author, who is currently a senior resident scholar at the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington. He was previously the Washington correspondent for the Daily Star Lebanon newspaper, and has served as a senior fellow at the American Task Force on Palestine and as communications director for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. He has a PhD in comparative literature from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst
