Dr Rana Dajani is considered to be one of the most influential women in the Arab world. She is a molecular biologist who received a Fulbright scholarship to do a doctorate in the US, has lectured at Yale, the University of Cambridge and has a fellowship at Harvard. As a social entrepreneur she started the We Love Reading programme in Jordan that now operates in more than 55 countries across the world. She speaks to host Amina Taher about how she was unable to study at Cambridge when offered a place there and how – a marriage and four children later – she was eventually able to pursue her dream.
