People suffering depression and mental health concerns are being offered free psychiatric consultations at Medeor 24x7 Hospital Abu Dhabi until May 30 as part of a Happiness Month campaign.
The hospital’s campaign is in line with this year’s World Health Day theme, depression, which is a leading cause of poor health and disability worldwide. The World Health Organization estimates that more than 300 million people of all ages are living with depression.
Those interested in the campaign are asked to complete a simple psychiatric evaluation and, based on their answers, will be contaced by the medical team for a free counselling session, overseen by Dr Haytham Shabayek, head of the Department of Psychiatry and Specialist Psychiatry at Medeor 24x7 Hospital Abu Dhabi.
