A year ago this month, Etihad took delivery of its newest aircraft – a striking sky blue Boeing 787-9.

The brand new Dreamliner was delivered to the national airline of the UAE sporting the familiar colours of Manchester City Football Club, with whom Etihad has partnered for more than 12 years.

Its inaugural passenger flight departed Abu Dhabi on October 22 , 2019, flying, rather aptly, to Manchester in England, where the football team played at the Etihad Stadium.
