Date recipes to try: Chia pudding and choco petit pots

Interested in incorporating dates into your palate? Here are two recipes to try at home.

Chia pudding

Serves 1


1 cup chia seeds

3 cups almond or coconut milk (ideally homemade)

1 tbsp maple syrup

Few slices avocado

2 tbsp pomegranate seeds

1/2 banana, sliced

2 dates, chopped


Soak the chia seeds in almond milk or coconut milk for 20 minutes. Add maple syrup and stir until mixed. Set aside in refrigerator. Once the chia seeds have the consistency of a pudding, garnish with fresh avocado, pomegranate, banana and dates. Serve.


Choco petit pots

Serves 2


1/2 cup cashew nuts

1 cup water

1 tbsp organic raw chocolate powder (cacao powder)

3 dates


Place cashew nuts and water in a blender. Add chocolate powder and dates. Blend to a smooth consistency. Scoop into small pots and refrigerate before serving.
