For several years, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has provided some of the sartorial highlights at festivals and red carpets around the world, from the Met Gala to the Cannes Film Festival, for which she recently joined the jury.
But the Copenhagen-born actress, model and producer has been stepping out in front of the cameras for almost two decades.
The Padmaavat star made her first film, Aishwarya, in 2006, after working for a few years as a professional model.
Since then, Padukone, 36, is now one of the highest-paid actors in India and has won almost 90 awards, including three Filmfare Awards, with films such as Piku, Chhapaak and XXX: Return of Xander Cage on her CV. She also acted in and produced 2021's big-hitter 83, in which she was paired with her husband Ranveer Singh.
She wowed on the red carpet at a screening for the film at the inaugural Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she wore a coral mermaid gown by Dubai's Michael Cinco, featuring striking layers of tulle from the Filipino designer's spring-summer 2019 collection.

She is also a red carpet regular, stepping out at the likes of the MTV Music Awards, Marrakech International Film Festival and the annual Met Gala.
In March 2022, she stepped out in Dubai at the inaugural Time 100 Gala and Impact Awards, which was held at new landmark Museum of the Future, where she shimmered on the red carpet in a sheer saree with matching embellished blouse.
While Padukone routinely champions Indian brands such as Sabyasachi, she's also been known to sport a Middle Eastern designer from time to time, stepping out on red carpets in Zuhair Murad and Ashi Studio.
And she most recently became the first Indian to be a Louis Vuitton ambassador.
Here, we take a look back through Padukone's red carpet archives, to see how her style has evolved.
