Lionel Messi came to the rescue with a superb strike as Argentina battled to a 2-0 win over Mexico.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia suffered a 2-0 defeat to Poland, leaving Group C wide open going into the final games.

France secured progression from Group D after they beat Denmark 2-1 thanks to two goals from Kylian Mbappe.

Australia overcame Tunisia 1-0 in another hard-fought encounter.

Tomorrow promises to be another action-packed match day, including an intriguing clash between Spain and Germany.
