Adnoc Distribution, the UAE’s largest fuel retailer opened its 400th petrol station on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat island. This brings the company’s total number of fuel stations built across the UAE to 25 this year alone.

The newest station is the 17th unit designed along the concept of ‘Adnoc On the go’, which allows dual sided fuelling, dedicated drive-thru as well as a digital shopping experience from the convenience store.

“Marking our 400th station, and a strong series of openings year to date, further symbolises the journey we have taken,” Adnoc Distribution's acting chief executive Ahmed Al Shamsi, said.

“We continue to strive to adapt and advance in order to deliver the products, services and convenience that our customers want and value," he added.

"The launch of our new ‘Adnoc On the go’ neighbourhood station earlier this year was testament to that and the ways our solid history and experience helps us to deliver progressive solutions for now and into the future”.

Adnoc Distribution also operates in Saudi Arabia and has expressed interest in expanding to Egypt, the Arab world's most populous nation.

The UAE’s other fuel retailer Emirates National Oil Company is also targetting Egypt as a viable market for sale of jet fuel into the North African country.
