If diving with the sharks isn’t enough of an adrenalin rush, then you may like to try Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo’s latest offering, the Shark Scooter experience.
Akin to a personal miniature submarine, the immersive experience takes guests deep below the surface of the aquarium in a self-contained scooter-like vehicle.
Guided by an instructor from Al Boom Diving, riders propel themselves using the electric motor, at speeds of up to 3 kilometres per hour.
The Shark Scooter experience, which can cater to one or two people at a time, is designed to provide guests with a better understanding of life under the surface, bringing them face-to-face with the tank’s marine life in an educational and eye-opening experience.
Children as young as 10 years of age can take part, and included in the experience is a guided tour through the Discovery Channel Shark Week exhibition, and admission to the aquarium tunnel and Underwater Zoo.
