The Act Dubai debuts new show Rocker Girlz

The Act, Dubai – which claims, at 42 floors up, to be the world’s highest theatre venue – has a new show planned for the 2015 season.

Debuting on February 2, Rocker Girlz – Who Says Boys Get to Make All The Noise?, follows a girl’s road to success, exploring her hidden talent in music after a sudden break up from her rock star boyfriend. Our heroine, heartbroken after the split, gathers friends as well as instruments to start a band of her own, and her life is soon to take a drastic new turn from garage to glory.

Rocker Girlz is directed by David Ley and The Act Dubai’s ingenious creative team. And of course, this being Dubai, The Act isn’t just a theatre, but an experiential theatre/dining combo. Patrons can partake of head chef Roberto Segura’s Peruvian-themed menu while they’re entertained, with a menu offering three fixed-price options from Dh320.

• The Dinner Show concept is available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 8.30pm – midnight. The Act Dubai, located in The Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road is open Sundays and Thursdays from 8.30 pm to 3.00 am; and Monday – Wednesday from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.

Reservations are required, on 04 355 1116 or reservations@theactdubai.com
