Soap star Katherine Lang to run in Abu Dhabi International Triathlon

Several American stars of a popular soap opera that screens in the UAE will compete in the Abu Dhabi Triathalon.

Two high-profile stars from the long-running American soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful will be among the notable names dropping in on the capital next month to help promote and compete in the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon.

Katherine Lang, 52, has played Brooke Logan on the show since it premiered in 1987 (Season 8 is being carried daily in the UAE on Dubai One). Don Diamont, 51, is best-known for his role as the gardener-made-good on The Young and The Restless, Bold and Beautiful's sister show. He now plays Bill Spencer Jr on Bold, which is the most-watched soap opera in the US. The fifth edition of the triathlon, which is hosted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, is on March 15 at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. - The National staff
