Illness spoils Lorde’s Australian tour
The New Zealand singer Lorde has postponed her Australian tour this week after doctors advised she needed immediate rest. The 17-year-old Ella Yelich-O’Connor, who uses her stage name Lorde, has been touring North and South America over the past few months. She was due to kick off the seven-concert Australian leg of her world tour in Melbourne tomorrow. “It breaks my heart to have to postpone these shows,” Lorde said, adding that she had a “nasty chest infection and general ill health”. – Reuters
Hanks and Spielberg to make Cold War film
Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are reportedly coming together for an untitled Cold War thriller, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie centres on the real-life story of James Donovan, the lawyer who negotiated the release of the CIA's U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers, whose plane was shot down over Russia in 1960.
