Humidity levels are set to reach 90 per cent on Tuesday in many parts of the UAE, with the pattern set to linger into the week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The humidity is forecast to increase during the night on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning with more chance of fog over some coastal areas especially westwards.

Meanwhile, the weather is forecast to be hot in general with partly cloudy skies across the UAE, becoming hazy at times.

Winds will be light to moderate in general freshening at times by noon while the sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Temperatures could hit highs of 47°C with lows of 26°C forecast inland and 44°C to 27°C over the coast.
