Cool and humid temperatures are expected to persist this weekend, potentially leading to fog in some areas of the country.

On Friday, residents of the UAE's west coast awoke to a cloudy and overcast start to the weekend with pleasant conditions set to continue.

Temperatures will range between 13°C and 28°C along the coast, 11°C to 33°C inland and 8°C to 19°C in the mountains.

Cool winds, of up to 30kph, will likely make temperatures feel colder.

Those heading to the beach on either coast can expect dips in the sea to average at a refreshing 20°C. Waves should be minimal with the choppiness of last weekend not expected over the next two days.

Humidity will remain high in the evenings, peaking at 85 per cent.

Haze is expected to move across the country by Monday.
