Three people were injured in a road accident involving three vehicles and a petrol tanker on Wednesday. Police said the three cars collided with the tanker, on Al Ain – Abu Dhabi road in Al Khazna, after failing to leave a safe distance between the vehicles. Police said the force from the collision caused the tanker to swerve off the road, overturn and hit a police patrol parked on the hard shoulder. The patrol car was parked after having responded to another accident in the area. Three of the people in the accident sustained minor injuries and were taken to Al Mafraq Hospital. Lt Col Mohsen Al Mansouri, Director of Al Ain Traffic Department, urged motorists to adhere to the traffic rules, avoid speeding, always leave sufficient safe distance between vehicles.
