Etihad to operate special service from Al Ain to Jeddah during Ramadan

The airline will operate daily flights between the two cities during the last 10 days of the holy month

Etihad is confident the temporary service will prove popular.

Etihad Airways is to run special daily flights between Al Ain and Jeddah in the final days of Ramadan to meet increased demand for Umrah travel.

The carrier will operate the service from May 26 to June 4, during the final 10 days of the holy month.

EY335 will leave Al Ain at 1.30pm, arriving in Jeddah at 3.20pm, before turning around at 4.20pm and arriving in Al Ain again at 8.05pm. The flights will operated by an Airbus 330.

“We are very pleased to offer these special flights from Al Ain to Jeddah during Ramadan,” said Ahmed Al Qubaisi, senior vice president of government and international affairs at Etihad Aviation Group.

“The flights are conveniently scheduled for the people residing in Al Ain wanting to attend Umrah during the last 10 days of the holy month.”

Although the entire month of Ramadan is considered special, the last 10 nights are considered the most important of all, and as a consequence more people perform Umrah during the period.
