Team Abu Dhabi left disappointed on Yihe

LINYI, CHINA // Team Abu Dhabi's Tim Seebold and Thani al Qamzi finished sixth and eighth respectively in yesterday's Grand Prix of China.

Italian Alex Carella led from start to finish on the Yihe River and moved into a share of the lead in the drivers' standings with Finnish teammate Sami Selio. It was a disappointing weekend for Team Abu Dhabi.

Ahmed al Hameli held second behind Carella through the early laps but was forced to retire with propeller problems, and neither Seebold nor al Qamzi were able to make in-roads into the top five.

Two late yellow flags played into their hands, but al Qamzi slipped behind Duarte Benavente and lost his lead in the world championship.

Al Qamzi and al Hameli are now fifth and sixth in the points standings, with Seebold in 12th after his first race with Team Abu Dhabi and Skydive Dubai sponsorship. Team Abu Dhabi hold second position in the team standings.
