Man killed roommate by throwing him out of window, Dubai court told

The 30-year-old Indian, who was drunk, grabbed the victim, whose age and nationality were not in court records, from behind, dragged him to the window, lifted him up and shoved him out on November 11 last year.

DUBAI // A labourer threw his roommate out of a window to his death after he made crude comments about his mother and sisters, the Dubai Criminal Court was told.

On November 11 last year, the two men had been drinking alcohol with two others at their workers’ accommodation in Dubai Investments Park.

“He told the defendant that he wanted to have sex with his mother and sisters, which made the labourer so furious he killed him,” a police officer said.

The 30-year-old Indian, who was drunk, grabbed the victim from behind, dragged him to the window, lifted him up and shoved him out on November 11 last year. His fall was seen by witnesses.

He suffered a brain haemorrhage and fractures, and died later in hospital.

The defendant was not in court to face a charge of premeditated murder but will be summoned to appear on March 21.
