The UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention is dismissing false rumours circulated on social media about Covid-19 vaccines.
The ministry underlined the importance of obtaining facts from official sources and called on everyone to verify information before sharing it, Wam reported.
The ministry said all those spreading fake information would be held legally accountable.
The UAE stepped up its vaccination programme in recent days with the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm shots being distributed by the health authorities.
An awareness campaign outlining the importance of vaccination has begun. The authorities said 80,683 people were inoculated on Monday alone.
The distribution rate of the vaccine is now 11.8 doses for every 100 people.
The UAE plans to vaccinate 50 per cent of the population by the end of the first quarter.
