Volunteers worked with local charities at 200 locations

Adnoc employees distributed more than 60,000 iftar meals by working with local charities during its Ramadan campaign.

More than 2,300 staff and their relatives volunteered at 200 locations across the country to help numerous organisations.

"Adnoc seeks to achieve its social objectives through three main aspects: human development, economic development and environmental programmes," Reem Al Buainain, the company’s social responsibility manager, told state news agency Wam.

Volunteers handed out 2,000 food parcels for the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and paired up with the Hifz Al Neama Project to give 16,000 iftar meals to drivers at petrol stations across the country.

In the capital, Adnoc staff prepared five Ramadan tents at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, where 10,000 iftar meals were distributed to people coming for prayers.

Additionally, the company gave away 6,000 gas cylinders to families who cooked for the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
