UAE Weather: Rain due to sweep in on Thursday

Eastern areas most likely to catch a shower before more widespread rain over the weekend

Winds could whip up blowing dust clouds on Thursday across the UAE.

Winter weather will continue to dominate weather patterns on Wednesday and into Thursday as temperatures struggle to climb above 21°C.

It will be as cool as 14°C in the northern emirates, but a fine, dry day for much of the UAE.

Cloudy skies will continue to keep temperatures down in Abu Dhabi and Dubai before a change in the weather conditions overnight.

Wind speeds for Wednesday, according to imagery from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Rain clouds will begin to build into Thursday morning with the highest risk of a shower forecast in eastern areas according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology where temperatures during the day will peak at about 23°C.

Brisk winds reaching 25 kilometres per hour will increase the risk of blowing dust, particularly inland what could reduce visibility for drivers on some roads.

A period of more unsettled weather with more widespread shower is forecast into the weekend.
