Residents woke up to a damp and windy morning on Sunday, with more forecast across the country. The unsettled weather brought with it scattered light showers across northern and eastern areas of the country. Slight to moderate rain lashed different areas in Sharjah on Saturday evening. Temperatures will drop throughout the day with lows of 11°C and highs of 28°C is expected inland and a range of 06°C to 15°C along the mountains. The lowest temperatures recorded on Saturday were 4.1°C on Jais Mountain and 7°C on Merbeh Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS). Partly cloudy weather and and hazy at times are expected across the country. The centre said moderate winds, in general, may cause blowing dust over exposed areas. Inland, humidity will rise overnight leading to potential mist and fog on Sunday. Waters in the Arabian Gulf will be rough at times while moderate in the Oman Sea. Coastal areas could have winds up to 45 kilometres an hour and maximum temperatures of 27°C. Inland areas could have winds up to 38 km an hour and maximum temperatures of 28°C. Humidity is also expected to reach 90 per cent across internal regions.
