Warnings of mist and fog formation were issued early on Thursday by the National Centre of Meteorology. Fog has been reported over Al Ain, Sharjah and Al Maktoum airports. If you are planning on using Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road or the Dubai-Al Ain road, beware of poor visibility – fog has been reported there too. Around three hours ago, fog was also reported in Al Minhad and Lahbab in Dubai. The blowing dust that in UAE skies this week will continue in the afternoon over some exposed areas. Otherwise, the weather will be like any other typical summer day: hot and hazy, with increased humidity at night. The temperature at 7am was 32 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi with a relative humidity of 74 per cent. The day will be mostly sunny. In general, in coastal areas the temperature will be between 39 and 44°C; in internal areas between 42 and 47°C, and in the mountains between 33 and 38°C. Over the weekend, it will also be hazy at times during daylight hours. Light to moderate winds may also blow dust over some exposed areas. Sea activities should be safe as movement is slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
