The UAE is set for a mainly sunny Monday, but there will be some clouds appearing in the east of the country by afternoon.

Top temperatures could reach 38°C in Abu Dhabi and 37°C in Dubai on Monday, the NCM said.

Winds may reach speeds of up to 38kmph in mountainous regions.

In some parts of the country, particularly in coastal regions, humidity levels are expected to hit as high as 80 per cent, the weather bureau said.

Conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
