Update: About a year's worth of rain falls on the UAE in just a day

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are set for a hot, humid and largely clear Sunday. Dubai should hit highs of 41°C and Abu Dhabi 40°C by midday.

Mild winds are expected to blow towards north in the morning before turning south in the early afternoon.

Just after midday, mild cloud cover is expected for a couple of hours.

In recent days, flash floods and thunderstorms have hit parts of the UAE.
