It has been a cold winter across much of the UAE. Sales of coats have gone up and ice has been reported in more remote areas of the country, such as in Raknah, Al Ain, after temperatures plunged to minus 5°C.

Another frosty night is expected on Monday and into Tuesday morning.

Elsewhere in the country, Tuesday's forecast indicates that the mercury will drop to 6°C, although highs of 25°C are also expected.

With the northern hemisphere well into winter, here are five cities that will be warmer than Al Ain at 4am on Tuesday.
