Mina Al-Oraibi has been the Editor-in-Chief of The National since 2017.  She has a special interest in Iraq and Gulf developments, and has interviewed world leaders, including every Iraqi Prime Minister for the last two decades, former UK Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. She has also has a special interest in US foreign policy and has interviewed Barack Obama, Jared Kushner and other senior US officials. Previous to her role at The National, she was a Senior Fellow at the Institute for State Effectiveness and was Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Asharq Alawsat. Mina is a columnist for Foreign Policy magazine and a member of the International Media Council.
