John Dennehy

John Dennehy

Senior Reporter
John is a senior reporter based in the UAE and has reported extensively across the country and Middle East - from the UN climate change talks to stories about abandoned Soviet-era planes in the Northern Emirates. He is particularly interested in documenting how major issues affect people's everyday lives. John has hosted a podcast at The National and frequently appears on its weekly online show, A Closer Look. He has also written a book on the First World War.
