Webber gives 'every indication' he is happy with Red Bull

SILVERSTONE // Christian Horner, the Red Bull Racing team principal, hopes the seven-year relationship between the Milton Keynes-based marque and the Australian driver Mark Webber continues, but refuses to bring forward contract talks following the 35 year old's British Grand Prix success on Sunday. Webber, who lives close to Silverstone Circuit, started the day by walking his dogs in the drizzle and finished it celebrating victory at his team's home race for the second time in three years. He later spoke of "the love affair" he enjoys with the area and the benefits of working so close to home. The victory served to heighten speculation regarding Webber possibly moving to Ferrari when his contract expires at the end of the season. Horner, who is due to sit down with the driver in the coming weeks to negotiate Webber's one-year rolling contract, dismissed the rumours and said nothing has changed at the constructors' champions. "Mark wants to be in the team next year and therefore, as we have always stated, during the summer we will sit down and talk about the future," Horner said. "And that period of time is obviously coming up pretty close now, so over the next few weeks we will be talking about 2013." Webber is yet to confirm his intentions for next season, but Horner added his driver has given "every indication that he is very happy here". "He has won two big races now, the Monaco Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix, and I think his drive at Silverstone was excellent. It was great for him to win for the team at our local race, and obviously coming from just up the road as well - and to have Sebastian [Vettel, his teammate] up there on the podium after a difficult first lap again - was a double bonus."
