UAE para athlete Mohamed Al Hammadi clinched bronze medal in men's 100m T34 at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai on Sunday.
Al Hammadi, 34, finished third with a time of 15.93 seconds behind Walid Ktila of Tunisia (14.99 sec) and Rheed McCracken of Australia (15.51 sec).
Al Hammadi had earlier finished second in his heat on Day 4 of the para championships. Al Hammadi came in behind McCracken with a time of 15.85 seconds at the Dubai Club for People of Determination Stadium to qualify for the final.
Al Hammadi is one of the UAE's most successful para athletes. He won all of the country's medals – three silvers and one bronze – at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London.
