Missed out on seeing fireworks at New Year's Eve? We have good news. Three Dubai neighbourhoods are putting on fireworks displays this weekend and next to celebrate the emirate's 23rd edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

The fireworks displays will be on show at La Mer in Jumeirah 1, Al Seef on Dubai Creek and The Beach near JBR this Thursday and Friday and the following weekend (January 25-27). The Al Seef fireworks display starts 8.30pm, the La Mer fireworks will happen at 9pm and those at The Beach will kick off at 9.30pm.

The reason there will be a display on Saturday 27 and not on Saturday 20 is because the former is the last day of DSF and they will be going out with a bang.

There will be other activities at the DSF destinations, too. For instance, at La Mer, you will find a bouncy castle (open from 10am to 8pm) and a carnival-style parade on Thursdays and Fridays (at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9.30pm).

Remember, parking and traffic will be tricky just before the displays, so plan to get there early and think about using public transport if possible. The Metro is handy for those going to both The Beach and Al Seef, and La Mer is a short stroll from the rest of Jumeirah 1, so you could park further afield and then walk.

If you are keen to head down to La Mer early, then read our guide to the food options there to help you decide where to stop for dinner.

Check out The Beach Dubai, La Mer Dubai and Al Seef Dubai on Facebook for any updates about the fireworks shows on the day you plan on seeing them.
