Are you missing showing off views of Burj Al Arab or wish you could re-visit the Dubai desert? Well, now you can, sort of. No matter where you are in the world, you can enjoy a vibrant backdrop of the emirate thanks to Dubai Tourism.
They've just released a set of 12 free wallpapers that can be downloaded and used as backgrounds on video-conferencing platforms, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
The range of images highlights the attractions and experiences that await visitors coming to Dubai. They include skylines, sunset scenes and sea views, as well as global landmarks like Burj Khalifa and seven-star hotel Burj Al Arab, and activities showcasing the city's lively cultural scene.
"As the focus is also on personalising daily experiences during these challenging times, Dubai Tourism is supporting ongoing efforts at creating a cheerful ambiance for all, as well as providing families, business and leisure travellers who plan to visit Dubai later the opportunity to stay connected with the city through innovative ways," says Issam Kazim, chief executive of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM).
"With many individuals and families continuing to spend hours online, we hope these virtual effects will also serve to keep the city top-of-mind among travellers and encourage users to make Dubai their destination of choice."
Zoom has seen a spike in users since the start of the global Covid-19 pandemic, which has forced many to work from home.
One of the more light-hearted features on the video-conferencing platform is the ability to choose a virtual background while chatting.
Other popular Zoom backgrounds include the set of popular American TV sitcom Friends, Oscar-winning film Parasite, Netflix hit docu-series Tiger King and even the Nintendo game Animal Crossing.

How the bonus system works
The two riders are among several riders in the UAE to receive the top payment of £10,000 under the Thank You Fund of £16 million (Dh80m), which was announced in conjunction with Deliveroo's £8 billion (Dh40bn) stock market listing earlier this year.
The £10,000 (Dh50,000) payment is made to those riders who have completed the highest number of orders in each market.
There are also riders who will receive payments of £1,000 (Dh5,000) and £500 (Dh2,500).
All riders who have worked with Deliveroo for at least one year and completed 2,000 orders will receive £200 (Dh1,000), the company said when it announced the scheme.
