January flight sale: deals on Emirates and Etihad

Discounted flights are on sale from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but you have to book soon

The festive holidays may have just finished, but it could be time to start planning your next escape as Emirates and Etihad have announced January flight sales.

The Dubai and Abu Dhabi airlines have promotional fares on flights to destinations across the world, available on both economy and business class fares.

Emirates offers

From Dubai, Emirates sale fares start from Dh775 for an economy class return ticket to Kuwait.

Other destinations on sale include Mumbai from Dh875, Cairo from Dh1,295 and Nairobi from Dh1,495.

If the Philippines is on your radar for 2020 you can fly direct to Manilla or Clark with Emirates with economy fares from Dh1,815.

Europe is also on the cards with economy fares to London Heathrow from Dh2,245, Prague from Dh2,395 or Paris from Dh2,795.

Travellers planning a tropical holiday can book flights to Bali from Dh2,495, the Seychelles from Dh2,995 or Mauritius from Dh3,595.

There are also several more destinations on sale in economy class including across the Americas, South Africa and Australia with flights available to book until Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Travellers that want to fly business can also get discounted fares. Top picks from include Mumbai from Dh2,895, Amman from Dh5,5585, Hanoi from Dh11,995 and Osaka from Dh13,995. Keep in mind that if you're booking a discounted Business Class fare with Emirates, you may not be eligible for all of the standard business class benefits.

The Emirates sale runs until Thursday, January 23 and is valid on flights departing Dubai any time before Monday, November 30, 2020.

Cut-price fares on Etihad

In the capital, the national airline of the UAE has reduced fares on sale in both economy and business class flights departing from Abu Dhabi.

Valid on flights that depart from Monday, January 20 until Wednesday, November 25, 2020, the discounted fares are available on flights to eight international destinations.

These include Amman, where economy fares start from Dh1,503 and London Heathrow from Dh2,343. Travellers can also book cut-price tickets to New York, Rome, Shanghai, Bangkok, Amsterdam and Tokyo.

For Business class travellers, global sale fares start from Dh5,479 to Amman. If Thailand beckons, business class fares with Etihad start from Dhs9,054 and travellers that want to visit Japan, perhaps for the 2020 Summer Olympics, can fly business class with Etihad to Tokyo with fares from from Dh13,014.

You'll have to be quick to book these promotional fares, the Etihad sale ends on midnight on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
